How to connect your own domain
Point www.yourtours.com at your Goiaba site with a TXT and a CNAME record, then check DNS.
Your site always works at yourname.goiaba.net. Connecting a domain you own, such as www.yourtours.com, takes one form in Goiaba and two DNS records at your registrar. HTTPS is issued automatically once the records are found. Custom domains are included on plans that list them; the page tells you if yours does not.
Save the domain in Goiaba
- Go to Website › Domain (
/admin/website/domain). - Under 2. Use your own domain, type the full hostname, for example
www.yourtours.com, and click Save domain. - The page now shows the two DNS records to create, each with a copy link. The status reads Waiting for DNS.
Add the DNS records at your registrar
Log in where you manage the domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, OVH, IONOS and so on), open the DNS settings and add:
- a TXT record on
_goiaba-verify.www.yourtours.comwith the value shown on the page (it starts withgoiaba-verify=). This proves you own the domain. - a CNAME record on
www.yourtours.compointing tosites.goiaba.net. This sends visitors to your site.
Two things to watch:
- Cloudflare users: set the CNAME to DNS only (grey cloud), not proxied, or the certificate cannot be issued.
- Bare domains (
yourtours.comwithoutwww) cannot hold a CNAME at most registrars. Usewww.yourtours.comin Goiaba and add a redirect from the bare domain at the registrar, or use an ALIAS/ANAME record if yours supports it.
Check DNS
Back in Goiaba, click Check DNS. DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to propagate, so try again later if it does not find the records yet. The status moves to Verified, certificate pending while HTTPS is being issued, then to Live with HTTPS. Goiaba also re-checks pending domains on its own, so you do not have to keep clicking.
Once live, every link in booking emails and vouchers uses your domain. The goiaba.net address keeps working too. To go back, click Remove.
